Klings Kangwa on target in Red Star Belgrade Cup game win

Zambian midfielder Klings Kangwa was on target for his club in Serbia in his first game on return from international duty with the Chipolopolo Boys in Mali.

The Zambian international came off the bench to score the second goal as Red Star Belgrade beat second-tier side Fudbalski Klub Mačva Šabac 2-0 in the Serbian Cup round of 32 clash.

Kangwa put in a full shift in Zambia’s 1-0 loss to Mali on Friday and also started the canceled match on Monday due to bad weather.

Kangwa replaced Serbian midfielder Veljko Nikolic in the 64th minute.

After a scoreless first half, Nemanja Milunović opened the scoring for the Red-Whites with a great header off a Katai cross in the 48th minute.

Kangwa nearly scored 12 minutes into the match as he sent a ferocious shot from almost 30 meters out which confused Samurović in the Macva goal and could only push it out for a corner.

Kwanga was however not to be denied in stoppage time as he took advantage of  Belić’s carelessness, taking the ball away from him in the box before slotting home with ease, 2-0 the match ended.

Kangwa has now scored 4 goals and assisted 3 times in 16 appearances so far this season.
