Zambia Under-23 coach Beston Chambeshi is set to name an attacking side for Wednesday night’s Tokyo 2020 Olympic first leg against Congo Brazaville at Lusaka’s National ‘The Cathedral’ Heroes Stadium.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that Quicksilver will hand starting berths to Russian based playmaker Klings Kangwa and Gamphani Lungu from South African side Supersport United.

With Swedish based winger cum striker Edward ‘Tiger’ Chilufya not fit, the Supersport United utility, Gamphani is expected to start on the right-wing in an attacking 4-1-4-1 formation.

With Tunisian based Boyd Musonda omitted from the squad, Kangwa will form a midfield triumvirate with Red Bull Salzburg computer Enoch Mwepu and Emmanuel Banda from Belgian side KVO Oostende. Banda will sit in front of the back four as a deep-lying playmaker.

Out wide on the left Fashion Sakala will offer the width with Patson Daka as a lone striker. Arsenal Tula’s Lameck Banda, Buildcon’s Biston Banda and the returning Harrison Chisala might be considered for starting berths should Chambeshi have a change of mind.

The back four picks itself with Mangani Banda in goal. Shemmy Mayembe, Moses Nyondo, Solomon Sakala and Kebson Kamanga will form the backline.

Prosper Chiluya will have to watch from the bench as Kamanga will be preferred. The ‘Bola na Lesa’ boys return to cathedral for only the second time since the 2017 triumph.
