KK burial site works on course

Hannock Kasama-Government says preparations are progressing well at the Presidential Burial Site in LUSAKA were First President KENNETH KAUNDA will be put to reston Wednesday.

Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary AMOS MALUPENGA however says the burial procession will be largely restricted to Dr. KAUNDA’s family members.

Mr. MALUPENGA says the move is in line with COVID-19 health protocols that have inhibited mass gathering.

He told journalists in LUSAKA that foreign dignitaries have not been invited to attend the burial of Dr. KAUNDA as they were accommodated to mourn the first President during the state funeral last Friday.

Mr. MALUPENGA interacted with the media after inspecting preparations at the Presidential Burial Site in LUSAKA.

Meanwhile, Mr. MALUPENGA called on ZAMBIANS not to rely on false information concerning Dr. KAUNDA’s burial place apart from government officials and Dr. KAUNDA’s first son, PANJI.
