Kavindele Toll Plaza To Net K1.2m

June 26, 2019June 26, 201932The National Road Fund Agency -NRFA- has revealed that the Enock Kavindele Toll Gate is projected to raise about 1.2 million Kwacha per month in toll fees.NRFA Public Relations Manager, Alphonsius Hamachila says the toll station, which is located at Muchinshi area along Solwezi – Chingola road, has a traffic count of about 750 vehicles per day.Mr. Hamachila said this when he paid a courtesy call on North-western Province Assistant Secretary, Beatrice Muyambango in Solwezi.He said the revenue, which will be collected from the new toll gate, will be used for road maintenance, construction and rehabilitation across the country.Mr. Hamachila added that the Solwezi -Chingola road will be one of the key roads to be maintained using the funds.He said the toll gate will start operating officially on Thursday this week and is scheduled to be commissioned by President Edgar Lungu on a date to be announced later.Meanwhile, Ms Muyambango said the tax payment and revenue collection exercise should be embraced because it benefits everyone.Ms. Muyambango is pleased that the province will be contributing towards national development through the new toll gate.
