Kaputa council procures rice hammer Mills for rice processing

(ZNBC News)-Kaputa Town Council has procured two hammer Mills for rice processing to enhance revenue for the local Authority.
Kaputa Town Council Chairperson KENNEDY CHOLA says the two hammer meals are already operating and facilitating the value addition to the high Rice Production in the District.
He says the local authority will takes advantage of the bordering between Democratic Republic of Congo-DRC as a Market Source.
Mr. CHOLA says the Council also intends to buy a luxury bus for transportation of the commuters to the Copperbelt, adding that transport to outside towns has proved difficult in the past years for the locals.
Mr. CHOLA says the authority had lagged behind in the past years but that there is need to re-deem itself in terms of revenue generation.
He says the Council will use part of the K1.5 Million Equalisation Fund to purchase the bus.
Mr. CHOLA was speaking in an interview with ZNBC in Kaputa.
