KANAKANTAPA OPENS POLICE POST

Home Affairs Minister JACK MWIIMBU says government remains resolved to ensure citizens remain law-abiding in the country and desist from criminal activities at all levels.

Mr. MWIIMBU says Government is working hard to ensure that there is security across the country so that development can thrive.

He was speaking in a speech read for him by Chongwe Member of Parliament SYLVIA MASEBO during the commissioning of Kanakantapa Police Post.

Mr. MWIIMBU said the growth in the population of Kanakantapa Resettlement area has triggered the need for the construction of a police Post in order to secure people and property.

Mr. MWIIMBU however bemoaned the delay in completion of the Police Post whose construction started in 2013 adding that the completion was a testament of the importance of the timely release of Constituency Development Funds.

The Minister promised that government will complete all viable projects started by the previous administration in order to improve service delivery at all levels.

Meanwhile, Lusaka Province Police Commissioner KAANZA CLETO said there was need for timely and constructive feedback from the members of the public in order to improve security.
