Kambwili’s Party De-registered

The National Democratic Congress -NDC- has been de-registered.Registrar of Societies cancelled the registration certificate following a High Court ruling of 16th July 2019, in matter where some members of the NDC took each other to court.Home Affairs Public Relations Officer Nephas Chifuta disclosed this in a statement to ZNBC News today.Mr Chifuta said in view of the court ruling the office of the Registrar of Societies has invoked section 13 (2) (a) of the societies Act Cap 19 of the laws of Zambia and cancelled the registration certificate of the NDC.Mr Chifuta said the NDC seized to exist on August 21st, 2019.He said that all members of the defunct NDC are advised to desist from conducting any activities.Mr Chifuta said that anyone that will disregard the cancellation will be dealt with by the law.
