KAMBWILI: LEARN FROM KK ON ANTI-REGIONALISM

Former National Democratic Congress president CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI has urged political parties to learn from the legacy of KENNETH KAUNDA who preached against regionalism.

Mr. KAMBWILI says it is unfortunate that political parties are now promoting regionalism which Dr. KAUNDA fought against during his reign.

He said this in an interview shortly after he signed the book of condolence and greeted the bereaved family.

He said Zambians should elect leaders based on their ability to perform.

And Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) Executive Director BONIFACE CHEMBE says KENNETH KAUNDA fought for peaceful co-existence.

Mr. CHEMBE says this can be seen from his ability to unity all the 73 tribes in Zambia under the one Zambia One Nation Motto.

This is contained in a statement made available to ZNBC News.
