KALU PROMOTES COMMUNITY FOOTBALL

Football icon KALUSHA BWALYA says there is need to promote community football so that youths can have an opportunity to showcase their talent.

BWALYA says community football helps to keep youths away from mischief such as beer drinking and alcohol abuse.

He told ZNBC Sports at Chipata grounds where he was invited to grace the end of year 2019- 2020 Independence tournament held in RAPHAEL CHOTA Ward

The Country’s Football icon said he is impressed that PF Mandevu Constituency through its Chairperson JOSEPH TAMBA has been organising community football every year, via the Independence Tournament.

BWALYA has encouraged youths to continue participating in such tournaments so that big clubs can identify their talent.

And TAMBA disclosed that he is going to introduce a new challenge called EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU tournament.

TAMBA said this is because he has realised that football has a lot of following in the constituency.

SIMPOKOLWE football team won the tournament by beating Majubula by one goal.

Wonder Boys got 3rd position, followed by Mukwa Dynamos in fourth.
