Nkana football club on Wednesday arrived in Cairo Egypt ahead of their first CAF Confederation Cup group stage game against Egyptian giants Pyramids FC.

Speaking to the Zamfoot Crew, on Tuesday after a morning training session head coach Kelvin Kaindu said his team was warmly welcomed and is in good shape for Wednesday’s showdown.

“I think we traveled well, the reception was good immediately we were at the airport we had people who received us, they have given us good transportation they even managed to organize a training ground for us we are using a Pyramids ground which is just next to the main pitch which we will use tomorrow [Wednesday],” he said.

“Yes it hasn’t been easy for Nkana to beat these sides from North Africa but I think we are coming from the last stage where we managed to qualify to get to the group stage against a North African team, it has never been easy playing against teams from the North African block I think the reception has always been good but I think the challenge has been on the field itself but I think we are prepared we also managed to get an away goal in the last game against a North Africa team from Morocco and I believe that will be our slight advantage because we have faced A North African team before,” Kaindu added.

Kaindu also assured fans that his team will find a permanent solution in the goalkeeping department and he is hopeful that the goalkeeper who will be available for the game will come to the party tomorrow.

The match will be played on Wednesday from the 30 June stadium in Egypt with kick-off set at 18:00 CAT.
