KAFUE WOMEN RECEIVE HELP

Two hundred women have received food hampers and money from various Companies operating within Kafue District under the newly launched initiative dubbed “Sharing With Women in Need Program.”

And launching the program, Kafue Council Chairperson BUUMBA MALAMBO said the beneficiaries have been drawn from 18 wards in the District.

Ms. MALAMBO said the initiative will see 20 women every month empowered with various items and money through the empowerment program.

She said the initiative is also meant to recognize the efforts of women ahead of International Women’s Day Celebrations.

And Trade Kings Group of Companies Manager Public Relations and Corporate Affairs BRIDGET KAMBOBE said assorted items worth about 40-thousand kwacha have been contributed toward the initiative.

Meanwhile, Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia Marketing and Sales Manager CLEOPATRA CHANDA said the company has donated 25 thousand Kwacha towards the initiative.
