K40,000 RAISED FOR SAMUKONGA

Over 40,000 Kwacha has been raised to appreciate athlete MUZALA SAMUKONGA for minting Gold at the Commonwealth games.

This follows an initiative launched by Matero Member of Parliament MILES SAMPA for a voluntary donation for MUZALA.

SAMPA says the donation is meant to help MUZALA aside from what the Government or Athletics Association may have planned for him

He says different well wishers have come on board to support MUZALA through the donation and adding that it serves as an example to other athletes to work hard.

Samukonga was one of only three medal winner at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Other were boxer Stephen Zimba who won silver and PATRICK CHINYEMBA who won bronze in  boxing.
