Judge Chulu,Sikazwe have not been fired-Kasanda

Mwila Nsofu-Government has dispelled information circulating on various media platforms that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has fired Electoral Commission of Zambia Chairperson retired Justice ESAU CHULU and his Vice EMILY SIKAZWE.

Chief Government Spokesperson, CHUSHI KASANDA says the President merely notified the two about their contracts which are due to expire.

Ms KASANDA, who is also Information and Media Ministe,r says it is misleading to insinuate that the President fired the Two.

In a statement to ZNBC News this evening, Ms KASANDA said government further wishes to advise the public to ignore the media reports to this effect.
