Journalists urged to be professional

By Mwila Nsofu

Government has called for professionalism and responsibility among journalists.

Information and Media Permanent Secretary THABO KAWANA says professionalism demands that those practicing Journalism look at the country with a patriotic eye.

Speaking this afternoon when the Media Liaison Committee paid a courtesy call on him, Mr. KAWANA said government is not threatening anyone but rather calling for professionalism in the media industry.

And Media Liaison committee Chairperson ERNEST CHANDA said over 4,000 Zambian Journalists have resolved to have a law that will establish the Zambia Media Council.
