Jetters hands newbies Eastlands first defeat

Kalomo Jetters kicked-off their Provincial Division One South campaign with a 2 – 0 win against the fresh from division two bakery Eastlands FC at Bharati Sports Complex on Sunday.

The game started on a high note as the hosts’ defenders were quick to deny jetters striker an entry into Eastlands box just minutes from the start following good build-up by the midfielders before it was cleared away in the danger zone.

The visitors scored the first goal through a header in the 38th minute from a corner kick.

The striker found the back of the net after rising high to head it in after the hosts were found ball watching and that chance proved all that kalomo jetters needed to bag the first goal after chasing shadows for most of the time.
