INDIA TO POPULARISE YOGA IN ZAMBIA

India’s High Commissioner to Zambia ASHOK KUMAR says his office is working to popularize Yoga in Zambia to promote healthy lives amongst the people.

Mr. KUMAR said this during the International Day of Yoga celebrations held at the Victoria falls in Livingstone under the theme ”Yoga for Humanity.”

He said Yoga that traces its origins from India has been embraced by the rest of the world as a cultural heritage and is being practiced by millions of people around the globe.

And Livingstone City Mayor, CONSTANCE MULEABAI encouraged Livingstone residents to practice Yoga as it enhances one’s health.

She said Yoga helps one overcome stress and prevents communicable diseases.
