Chief Justice MUMBA MALILA says everyone has an obligation to ensure human rights are upheld.

He says anyone who feels their rights are not being respected locally is free to engage international bodies on human rights.

Justice MALILA says Zambia is part to the African Charter on human and People’s rights which looks at various issues.

The Chief Justice  said this when he delivered a Public lecture on Human Rights and Justice beyond the National Courts at the University of Zambia – UNZA – in Lusaka.
