HUBBY KILLS WIFE, UNCLE KILLS NIECE

A Kitwe man has killed his wife after beating her following a dispute over food.

The mother of five died after being repeatedly beaten by the husband, an ex-convict.

ZNBC’s CHANSA MAYANI who rushed to the scene reports that the man allegedly beat up his wife as the children helplessly watched.

The couple’s 13 year old daughter narrated how her father Mayenda Chintuchunga beat up his wife until she became unconscious.

Chintuchunga spent some time at Kamfinsa correctional facility for
being in possession of a fire arm.

Meanwhile a 19 year old Kitwe School leaver Emmanuel Sonta of Chimwemwe Township has committed suicide after killing his niece.

This was after the secret affair between the two was allegedly uncovered by the boyfriend of the deceased 17 year old niece.

Copperbelt Police commissioner PEACEWELL MWEEMBA in a statement to ZNBC news in Kitwe says SONTA is alleged to have confronted the niece
over the issue and in the process repeatedly stabbed the girl in the neck, face and hands before taking his own life.

The country is currently observing 16 days of gender activism.
