HOCKEY TEAM :BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD

Zambia National Hockey Coach FLOYD CHOMBA says the technical bench has learnt lessons from the just ended Women’s Hockey Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana.

CHOMBA has told ZNBC Sports News in an interview that despite being eliminated in the first round, the team played well.

He said the outing was a good exposure for most players who were playing at a high level for the first time.

CHOMBA added that keeping the team together for a long time will help improve coordination among the players.

He expressed confidence that the Women’s National team will perform well during the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations that starts later this year.

CHOMBA has thanked the Government and all stakeholders that made it possible for the team to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana.
