HH’S UNGA SPEECH INSPIRES PEOPLE

Leadership Movement president RICHARD SILUMBE says the speech by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA at the United Nations General Assembly has renewed the hope of many Zambians.

Mr. SILUMBE says the President has shown that he is pushing for an economic recovery that will benefit all Zambians.

He has since called on Zambians to support President HICHILEMA to actualize his plans for Zambia.

Mr. SILUMBE told ZNBC news that as an opposition leader; he will continue to offer checks and balances to the new dawn administration as to fulfill its campaign promises.

MEANWHILE, Governance Expert JOHN LIJIMU says President HICHILEMA’s speech to the United Nations General Assembly gave a clear road map of where Zambia is headed to.

Mr. LIJIMU says President HICHILEMA has set a tone for Zambia and other African countries to emulate.

He says it is important that people within the Presidents administration support him to attain his goals for the country of which zero corruption is one of them.

Mr. LIJIMU noted that the Head of state used the opportunity to explain how the country will ensure transparency and accountability in the operations of oversight institutions and also continue to uphold Dr. KENNETH KAUNDA’s legacy of peace and co existence

He said this in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka today.

Mr. LIJIMU has further commended President HICHILEMA for indicating that the media and Civil society Organisations can hold him to account by giving objective checks and balances.
