HH Welcomes IMF Statement on Zambia

Mwila Nsofu-President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has welcomed comments from the International Monetary Fund -IMF -about the impressive economic reforms government is implementing.

President HICHILEMA is confident of the steps taken to set a firm foundation for sustainable economic growth and that Government will fix all loopholes for debt contraction.

He says the UPND Administration cannot build the economy while the country is heavily indebted.

President HICHILEMA says the reforms must deliver more jobs, cheaper food, and meaningful change for the people.

He says the target is sustainable growth and real opportunities for all and that this is why the Zambian people elected the UPND Administration.

President HICHILEMA says inflation is down, while the Kwacha is stabilising, and education is free.

He however says there is still much to be done.

President HICHILEMA says Zambia is getting better and it will be better.
