HH warns law breakers

Brian Mwale-President – Elect HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has reiterated his call to genuine UPND supporters countrywide to stay away from any criminal activities.

UPND spokesperson CORNELIUS MWEETWA says Mr. HICHILEMA has warned that any member found wanting is doing so at their own peril and the law will visit them.

Mr. MWEETWA has told ZNBC News that the UPND Alliance President has learnt of sad reports were some people masquerading as UPND members went to harass Chongwe District Commissioner and are trying to take over markets.

He said Mr. HICHILEMA has emphasised that supporters of various political parties will be treated equally as his administration will observe the rule of law.

Mr. MWEETWA said Mr. HCHILEMA considers all citizens equal as the constitution is the supreme law of the land.

He has warned that anyone clad in UPND regalia is not immune to the law and will be sternly dealt with by police when found wanting.

The Choma lawmaker said anyone going against the President – Elect’s directive is undermining his authority.

He has appealed to the police to carry out their mandate because there is no power vacuum in the country as President EDGAR LUNGU is still in-charge until the inauguration of Mr. HICHILEMA.
