HH : TUTU WAS A “SELFLESS AFRICAN LEADER”

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has described South Africa’s Archbishop Emeritus DESMOND TUTU as one that belonged to a generation of selfless African leaders.

President HICHILEMA says Archbishop TUTU was among those that gallantly challenged the injustices of apartheid and racial subjugation against the African people in South Africa and other marginalised people around the world.

The President says he is saddened by the death of Archbishop TUTU, who passed away in Cape Town this morning, at the age of 90.

President HICHILEMA has since sent a message of condolences to the widow NOMALIZO LEAH TUTU, his family and the people of South Africa.
