HH TO OFFICIATE AT BENE MUKUNI CEREMONY

The MUKUNI Royal Establishment has announced that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA will grace the BENE  MUKUNI Traditional Ceremony.

The ceremony is expected to take place from July 8 to 10th 2022.

MUKUNI Royal Establishment Member SIASILOKA SILOKA MUKUNI says the ceremony will be taking place after being absent for two years due to the COVID 19 outbreak.

Mr MUKUNI says the ceremony will start with some ritual performance at the Victoria Falls and on 9th the actual day; Senior Chief MUKUNI will be showcasing the procession on how he moved from kola to present day MUKUNI chiefdom.

He says the establishment will work with the Ministry of Tourism to promote the ceremony so that many people can turn up for the event.

Mr. MUKUNI said this in a press briefing in Lusaka today.

And National Fundraising committee Chairperson OSWARD DIANGAMO said the Ministry of health has been invited to ensure measures on COVID 19 are adhered to during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, a member of the MUKUNI Royal Establishment Public Relations unit MUZALUBI MUPOTOLA said 800,000 Kwacha is needed for the ceremony.
