HH to grace Nc’wala ceremony

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is expected to grace the 2024 Nc’wala traditional ceremony of the Ngoni people in Eastern Province.

Eastern Province Permanent Secretary PAUL THOLE informed the Ngoni Royal Establishment during the last Nc’wala preparatory meeting held on Saturday at Mtenguleni.

Mr. THOLE said government has rendered the necessary support for the successful hosting of the ceremony that reaches its climax next Saturday.

And Paramount Chief MPEZENI said he is grateful to the President for accepting to grace the ceremony this year.

The Paramount Chief also appealed to the Zambia Police Service to put measures in place so that the ceremony is held in an orderly manner.

He also reiterated that political regalia will not be allowed at the ceremony.

The Nc’wala ceremony’s activities will start with Paramount Chief MPEZENI moving from Ephendukeni palace in Feni to Laweni on Thursday.

This year’s ceremony will be held under the theme ‘Cultural pride in promoting reconciliation and National Unity’.
