HH TELLS KAUMBWE TO VOTE UPND

PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has appealed to the people of Kaumbwe constituency to do the right thing by voting for a UPND candidate in Thursday’s by-election.

President HICHILEMA says politics of lies are long gone because people are able to see what is happening in the country through various platforms.

He says his government’s commitment to developing the country will be reflected in the first UPND budget that will start working in January next year.

The President was speaking when he held a meeting at Mwanjawanthu Primary School in Petauke district to drum up support for Kaumbwe UPND candidate ESNART SAKALA.

The seven candidates who are contesting the Kaumbwe seat are JOSEPH DAKA for Socialist Party, WILBASE TEMBO of Democratic Party, CHARLES NYANOKA of PNUP and AARON MWANZA of PF.

Others are MARY YUNIKE MWALE and LISTED TEMBO who are standing on independent tickets.

The Kaumbwe election is slated for this Thursday, October 21, 2021.

And Chieftainess MWANJAWANTHU has appealed to the head of state to address the challenges facing crop marketing.

Speaking when President HICHILEMA met her, the traditional leader said her area is in need of dams and boreholes.

Meanwhile President HICHILEMA said his government is committed to delivering development to all parts of the country.
