HH TELLS COUNCILS TO USE CDF FOR DEVELOPMENT

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has directed Councils to use the Constituency Development Funds -CDF- for intended developments.

President HICHILEMA has also instructed the Serenje Town Council to release money for the construction of a clinic in Chibwe area.

He says his Government will not accept a situation where mothers deliver from their homes or other undesignated places.

The President said this when he addressed a public meeting at Milima School ground in Serenje District.

President HICHILEMA also thanked residents of Muchinda Ward for voting for a UPND Councillor THOMAS PHIRI in the April 20th by election.

At the meeting, some members from various opposition political parties defected to the UPND.

Speaking at the public meeting, Chasefu Independent Member of Parliament MISHECK NYAMBOSE said President HICHILEMA is delivering development through CDF and improving public service delivery by recruiting thousands of civil servants.

And Mafinga Patriotic Front Member of Parliament ROBERT CHABINGA said President HICHILEMA should be supported in his efforts to unite the country.

Mr. CHABINGA also said the President has ensured resources are distributed to all parts of the country as can be seen through CDF which has been released to all Constituencies including those held by the opposition
