HH Mourns Munkonge

Hector Simfukwe-President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says he has received with great sadness and sorrow the news of the death of renowned Professor and medical practitioner, LUPANDO MUNKONGE

President HICHILEMA says Professor MUNKONGE is greatly credited for having significantly contributed to the growth of Zambia’s Healthcare industry as a scholar, surgical specialist and administrator.

The Head of state has since conveyed his condolences to his family and the entire medical fraternity on this untimely death of Proffesor MUNKONGE.

This is according to a message posted on the President Facebook page.

Meanwhile Chairperson of Lusaka Apex Medical University Council MARY NGOMA has announced that Professor MUNKONGE, passed away yesterday aged 85.

Professor NGOMA says the funeral gathering is at House Number 16 Chita Road, off Middle way in Kabulonga.

She says a Book of Condolences is open at the funeral house for mourners to sign.

Professor NGOMA says burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.

She has urged the mourners to observe Covid 19 guidelines.
