HH Expected to Attend BRICS

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is expected, in Johannesburg, South Africa, to attend the BRICS-Africa Outreach and BRICS Plus Dialogue Symposium.

The BRICS Plus Dialogue will take place tomorrow, August 24, 2023, under the theme PROMOTING AFRICAN INTEGRATION AND JOINTLY BUILDING A HIGH LEVEL AFRICA-CHINA COMMUNITY WITH A SHARED FUTURE.

South Africa President, CYRIL RAMAPHOSA will host the BRICS-Africa Outreach and BRICS Plus Dialogues, alongside the 15th BRICS Summit.

Foreign Affairs Minister, STANLEY KAKUBO has confirmed President HICHILEMA’s attendance in a statement to ZNBC news today.

Mr KAKUBO has explained that the dialogue is important as Zambia advances the greater integration agenda and shared commitment to the economic prosperity of the continent.

And Mr KAKUBO says President HICHILEMA, in his capacity as COMESA Chairperson, will also participate in the BRICS roundtable on,

Mr KAKUBO says the invitations for the event have been extended to all Chairpersons of the African Union -AU- Regional Economic Communities.

President HICHILEMA is expected to return to Zambia immediately after his engagements.
