HH claims Lusaka results have been tempered with

United Party for National Development (UPND) presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema has demanded that results from Lusaka be withheld until proper verification is done. This cames in the wake of allegations that there are some results which have not be tallied.

Hichilema has alleged that there was alot of fraud in Lusaka. He said this at the Mulungushi International Conference Center after a closed door meeting with ECZ Chairperson Esau Chulu.

Earlier, Hichilema stormed the totalling center in the company of his running mate, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, newly-elected Mazabuka MP Garry Nkombo, UPND secretary general Stephen Katuka and MMD leader Nevers Mumba and demanded that ECZ halt the announcing of results at the 11:00 hours briefing.

Hichilema and his entorage went to the front and asked ECZ Public Relations to stop the briefing and instead allow him and his team have a meeting with this ECZ chairperson.

However Akufuna refused to allow Hichilema and his entourage to meet Justice Chulu, instead he pleaded with them to wait until after the briefing.

Yesterday, former First Lady and UPND supporter, Maureen Mwanawasa alledged that she discovered votes which were alledgedly not added to the UPND.

This is a hotly contested election between ruling PF and Opposition  UPND.
