HH AT REQUIEM SERVICE FOR WINA

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is among several dignitaries that are attending the requiem church service of Veteran Politician, SIKOTA WINA at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka.

The President is accompanied by First Lady MUTINTA, Several Cabinet Ministers and Senior Government Officials.

Former President Edgar Lungu is also in attendance.

Mr. WINA 91, died on Wednesday last week at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka after an Illness.

He is expected to be buried tomorrow at Royal NAWINDA Village, in Mwandi District, Western province.

President HICHILEMA has since accorded the Late Mr. WINA an official funeral and a day of National Mourning will be observed tomorrow.

Mr. WINA was the First Health Minister in the Cabinet of Dr. KENNETH KAUNDA in 1964.

Acting Secretary to Cabinet, PATRICK KANGWA told ZNBC News that during national Mourning, all activities of entertainment must be postponed or cancelled.
