HH Arrives on the Copperbelt

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has arrived on the Copperbelt for his four day working visit.

The Presidential jet touched down at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport at 10 hours and the Head of State was received by Copperbelt Minister, ELISHA MATAMBO, and other senior government officials.

Upon arrival, President HICHILEMA also took time to interact with other UPND party officials at the airport.

The President is today expected to grace the EU- Zambia Copper Forum, before commissioning the Copperbelt Energy Corporation -CEC- solar plant, later in the afternoon.

Mr HICHILEMA will tomorrow commission the dewatering of Shaft 28 at Luanshya Copper Mines, which was closed in 2001 and later hold a meeting with miners at Mpatamato stadium.

The President is also scheduled to meet truck and Public bus drivers at Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola.

Other engagements on his program include the commissioning of the Chingola – Chililabombwe road built under Public Private Partnership and a public rally in Mufulira as well as church functions.
