HAMAUNDU: LET’S IDENTIFY CORRUPTION LOOPHOLES IN PUBLIC SERVICE

By Patricia Mapiki

Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary, MAAMBO HAMAUNDU says  there is need to identify loopholes in the Public Service that are likely to be manipulated for corrupt practices.

Mr. HAMAUNDU says the fight against corruption starts at individual level, but must be fought collectively at higher level.

He says the Anti Corruption Commission remains a strategic partner in the fight against corruption, through it’s commitment to building capacity in the public sector.

Mr. HAMAUNDU says this will in turn ensure that individuals at the ministry and the nation at large supplement each other’s effort in the fight against the vice

He said this at Chalimbana Local Government Training institute in Chongwe, when he opened the workshop for the program to develop an action plan for the ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Integrity Committee today.

He told the participants that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA attaches great importance to the fight against corruption as it does not only retard development, but also rob the country of it’s resources.
