GUIDELINES ISSUED FOR FUEL TANKER PROGRAM

Government has finalized guidelines for applicants of the 50 fuel tankers under the youth empowerment program.

Youth and Sports Minister ELVIS NKANDU says cooperatives can now apply for the tankers following the completion of the guidelines.

Mr. NKANDU says one of the guidelines is that the cooperatives should have 30 members as a way to deal with youth unemployment.

He says the ministry will ensure that the distribution of the fuel tankers will be done in a transparent and equal manner.

The Minister has since urged youth cooperatives to access the guidelines so that they can understand what is required of them to get a fuel tanker.

Mr. NKANDU was speaking with ZNBC News in Lusaka.
