Green Buffaloes clarify, only two released, seven put on transfer list

Zambia Super League side, Green Buffaloes has clarified the status of their players following their statement of having released nine players ahead of the start of the 2022/2023 season.

Buffaloes took to social media to clarify, and have now confirmed that only two players Mike Katoba and Gozon Mutale have been released.

The club says it’s now ready to listen to offers for Gift Wamundila, striker John Goma, former Zambia U-17 striker Nicholas Mulilo, midfielder Eddie Sinyangwe, Kingsley Mukuka, Nebert Musamba, and Lazarus Muchinga.

The club says they are ready to listen to offers for the seven players who have been put on the transfer list.

“Green buffaloes wish to confirm the statuses of the following players: Gift Wamundila – GBFC ready to listen to offers, Katiba Mike -Released, Eddie Sinyangwe – GBFC ready to listen to offers, John Goma- GBFC ready to listen to offers, Nicholas Mulilo- GBFC ready to listen to offers, Kingsley Mukuka- GBFC ready to listen to offers, Gozon Mutale-Released, Lazarus Muchinga- GBFC ready to listen to offers, Nebert Musamba¬- GBFC ready to listen to offers

Any team interested in there services of the players that are not released are free to contact GBFC.”

The Zambia army-sponsored outfit has also loaned former NAPSA Stars forward Youremember Banda to Green Eagles while Jack Ngulube has been loaned to Zesco United on a 2-year loan with an option of extending.

Meanwhile, Nyambe Sitali’s contract came to an end and it won’t be renewed.

The club will soon unveil the newly acquired players. The ZamFoot Crew understands that Mwiza Siwale and Fanwell Mapulanga will lead the list of new players.
