Grace Chanda opens goal account as Kundananji nets brace

Copper Queens striker Grace Chanda has opened her Madrid CFF goal account scoring the fourth goal in the team’s 4-0 win over Real Betis Féminas.

Compatriot Rachel Kundananji scored a brace to continue her fine form in front of goal for Madrid CFF.

Madrid CFF came into the match looking for a response after the 7-0 humiliation at the hands of FC Barcelona Feminina last weekend.

The Copper Queens duo was named in the starting line up leading the attack as Madrid welcomed Real Betis Féminas looking to return to winning ways.

After a bright start to the match, Grace Chanda set up Florencia Bonsegundo just a minute after the half hour mark with a beautiful pull back.

Kundananji doubled the lead two minutes later with a fine strike. Madrid went to the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Kundananji just needed 13 minutes in the second stanza to find the back of the net, winning the ball before beating a defender before slotting home with ease.

Three minutes later, Grace Chanda turned finisher as she slotted home a Laura Dominguez pass from close range.

Chanda was withdrawn for Tang Jiali in the 64th minute while Kundananji went on to finish the match.

The win takes Madrid CFF to fifth place on the log ahead of a tricky trip to rivals Atletico Madrid Feminina.
