GOVT TO RESOLVE HOUSING PROBLEMS-ECL

June 23, 2019June 23, 20194By Hector Simfukwe:President Edgar Lungu says government is working hard to resolving the housing problem faced by men and women in uniform.President Lungu says government will continue investing in modern infrastructure for the security wing in order to enhance the operation of officers.The Head of State said this during the commissioning of a five million United States dollars Police Housing Project in Chibombo District.Meanwhile, President Edgar Lungu said the security of the country is important and no price will be too high to pay .He said police officers should not entertain any act of criminality .President Lungu also condemned the gruesome murder of the Chinese National in Mumbwa District.He said government will not be disturbed by criminals regardless of where they are found.President Lungu said Zambians should work at promoting peace and stability .He said police should ensure that all the suspects are brought to book.And, Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo said construction of houses for men and women in uniform will change the face of Chibombo District .He said it is only under the PF government that government has started putting up serious infrastructure in the District .Mr. Kampyongo further announced that the contractor building a police station has been given three months to speed up the works or risk having his contract terminated .Earlier, Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja thanked President Lungu for providing decent housing for officers in the service .He said the officers are happy that they will also have a modern Police station in addition to the houses that have been given .And, AVIC International Representative Lei Yingqi said his company will continue to provide quality works to the Zambian people.He said five thousand people have been employed and trained during the implementation of the housing project in six provinces .
