Govt to advertise bids for stadia rehab – NKANDU

Government says it will this week advertise bids for the rehabilitation of the Levy Mwanawasa and National Heroes stadia.

Sports Minister ELVIS NKANDU says once the contractor is found, the National Heroes stadium will be the first to be worked on while games especially for Clubs playing continental football will be moved to Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa stadium.

NKANDU has told ZNBC Sports News that government targets to complete the works on time so that games can be played without disruptions.

He further said the National Heroes stadium will be prioritised because of the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
