GOVT COMMENDED FOR EARLY SUPPLY OF FERTILIZER

(NAIS) Senior Chief Munjimanzovu of the Kaonde people in Mushindamo District – North-Western Province says farmers should not give excuses for failure to prepare early for the next farming season.

Chief Munjimanzovu says this is because the government has already delivered on its promise to have fertiliser delivered early to farmers.

He was speaking when Nyimba Investments Head of Sales and Marketing Willings Mulendema paid a courtesy call on him at his Palace in Mushindamo.

Chief Munjimanzovu said early supply of farm inputs is a catalyst for increased crop production.

The traditional leader praised both the government and the fertilizer suppliers for the unprecedented early supply of the commodity.

And Mr. Mulendema reaffirmed the company’s commitment towards continued supply of fertilizer to farmers.

Meanwhile, North Western Provincial Marketing Development Officer Dennis Munachusa said he is happy with the quick response from farmers in the region in making their contributions.
