By Ruth Chayinda:President Edgar Lungu says there is need for Government and the church to continue collaborating as a way of enhancing development.President Lungu says the partnership between the two institutions is important because they both aim at improving the lives of the people.He said this during the 80th anniversary celebration of St. Charles Lwanga Regiment Parish in Lusaka.President Lungu also commended the church for its continued service to the ordinary Zambians.The Head of state further said it is important for the church to come up with income generating ventures to lessen dependence on external financial assistance.And Archbishop of Lusaka Alick Banda said it is the duty of Christians to show care and love to the vulnerable in society.Meanwhile, St Charles Lwanga regiment Parish Chairperson Gabriel Ngoma said the parish plans to upscale social economic projects that will help the community and the vulnerable people to access skills training.
