GOVT ASSURES FARMERS OF INPUTS

(NAIS) Government has assured farmers in Northern Province of timely distribution of inputs under the Farmer Input Support Program FISP for the 2023 -2024 farming season.

Northern Province Minister, LEONARD MBAO has indicated that farmer deposits for FISP inputs will start in the first week of July.

Mr MBAO said this through Provincial Deputy Permanent Secretary LEWIS MWAPE during the Northern Agriculture, Tourism and Investment show held under the theme ”Inclusive Economic Transformation”.

And speaking earlier, Farmers’ representative PETER CHILESHE thanked the New Dawn Government for providing motor bikes to agriculture extension officers in the province.

Mr. CHILESHE said the provision of motor bikes to field officers has enhanced the delivery of extension services in the province.
