GOOD GOVERNANCE KEY – NALUMANGO

 

Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO says government is committed to enhancing good governance.

Speaking during the launch of the Zambia Country Structural Vulnerability and Resilience Assessments – CSVRA in Lusaka, Mrs. NALUMANGO said Zambia is an example for the continent following a peaceful transition of power in the August polls.

Mrs. NALUMANGO has since reaffirmed a continuation of the democratic processes.

The Vice President said the launch of the CSVRA will provide modalities for addressing and implementing programs that will build resilience.

And Acting Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE said the CSVRA will highlight circumstances in which mitigating factors will be realized.

Meanwhile COMESA Secretary General CHILESHE KAPWEPWE in a speech read on her behalf by Assistant Secretary General Programs KIPYEGO CHELUGET praised Zambia for being the first COMESA member state and third African country for participating in the Country St
uctural Vulnerability and Resilience Assessments.

Also Speaking during the launch, African Union Commission Representative AHMED MOKHTAR said the exercise will assist Zambia in indentifying vulnerabilities and resilience to find appropriate solutions.
