Former Roan United coach joins Nkana technical bench

As the 2019/2020 Season draws closer day by day teams have been busy adding flesh to their teams and one of those is NKANA Football club, a team that missed on Continental football last season. The Red Devils have made some notable singings with the aim of returning to the continental stage, Now they have made another new addition after they brought Kaunda Simonda as a second assistant coach.

Club President Evaristo Kabila confirmed Simonda’s arrival in an interview with the club’s official website.

“He has joined us on a One-year Renewable Contract.”

Simonda has vast experience in the Superleague having Coached Roan United, Forest Rangers, and Nakambala Leopards before having a short stint with Chambeshi.

He (Simonda) joins Nkana after being recommended by the Head Coach Beston Chambeshi.

Simonda in his first interview told the Club’s official website that working at a big team (Nkana) was every coach’s wish.

“You know when you are growing you have to work at a big club like this one. You need to experience this pressure that comes from working in these environments because one day it will be you to take charge of the team, so you must get used,” he said.

Nkana will start their 2019/2020 Super League campaign with a home match against Green Buffaloes.
