Foreign nationals in gold scam are safe – DEC

Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- Director General NASON BANDA says the nine foreign nationals involved in the Gold Scandal are in safe custody contrary to social media reports that they are being kept in a luxury apartment within Lusaka.

Mr. BANDA has told ZNBC News that the Commission is still carrying out further investigations in the matter.

He has assured Zambians of the Commission’s due diligence in dealing with the matter adding that all suspects will be appearing in court soon.

And Mr. BANDA stressed that there was no other aircraft involved in the scandal other than the two that were shown to the nation during a media tour of the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport recently.
