Foreign Dignitaries jet in for RB Funeral

Hector Simfukwe-Foreign Dignitaries have continued to arrive ahead for the State Funeral of late former President RUPIAH BANDA.

The first to arrive is former President of Tanzania, JAKAYA KIKWETE.

The plane carrying Mr. KIKWETE arrived at around 08 hours.

Speaking in an interview with ZNBC News, Mr. KIKWETE urged Zambians to promote peace as a way of mourning Mr. BANDA.

The second to arrive is Zimbabwe’s President EMMERSON MNANGAGWA at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

Speaking to Journalists, Mr MNANGAGWA said he will remember Mr. BANDA as his friend.

And speaking upon arrival, President of Namibia HAGE GEINGOB said he is here to mourn his President.

Mr. GEINGOB said Former President BANDA and late Vice President REUBEN KAMANGA were instrumental in helping his country to stabilize.

He said President BANDA was technically the President of Namibia at one point when he headed an international mission to promote self rule and dignity in that country.
