FIRST LADY NEEDS SUPPORT

By Mwila Nsofu:Zambia’s Ambassador to Germany Anthony Mukwita says First Lady Esther Lungu needs all the support she can get in order to help as many vulnerable people in rural areas as possible.Mr. Mukwita said this after dispatching a 40-foot container for the Esther Lungu Foundation Trust organized in collaboration with businessman and honorary consul Heinz Messinger of Austria by the Embassy of Zambia in Berlin.The donation comprises invaluable equipment such as ultra sound machines, feeding pumps, hospital electric beds, ICU beds and almost one dozen infusion pumps and syringe pumps.Mr. Mukwita praised Mr. Messinger for responding to the call and hoped other honorary consuls and businesspeople in six other countries of his representation could make similar donations.And Mrs. Lungu told Mr. Mukwita that She will continue to work for the poor and welcomes every well-intentioned donation she can get to help change the lives of as many vulnerable people as possible.This is according to a statement released to ZNBC by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambian Embassy in Berlin, Germany Kellys Kaunda.
