First-ever Northern Province Women’s league set to kick off this month

The first-ever Northern Province Women’s football league is set to kick off this March with 12 teams drawn across the province.

The Northern Province Women’s league will kick off on 20th March 2021.

Building from the Chomba Chipili Christmas tournament which saw Mpaji Queens emerge as champions and two girls from Pride Stars Gracious Tembo and Maureen Mulenga signing contracts with Elite Lusaka Dynamos.

The league is expected to be a huge platform for more girls to showcase their skills and get the exposure they need.

The teams that will lead the make-up of the league are Hope queens, Mungwi Hotspurs queens, Pride stars, Spear girls, and Susan golden stars.

The rest are Kasama United Ladies, Kateshi coffee queens, ZNS green eagles queens, Mpaji queens, Might queens, Young Mussport queens, and Malole systemizers queens.
