Central Province Permanent Secretary MILNER MWANAKAPWE has called on the local authority in Chibombo District and Members of Parliament for Keembe and Katuba Constituencies to find alternative trading spaces for traders doing business along the Great North road.

Mr MWANAKAMPWE says the traders have encroached on the road reserve which poses a challenge to the expansion of the road.

The Permanent Secretary says the provincial administration is currently in talks with the Road Development Ageny to expand the road into a dual carriage way.

And Katuba Member of Parliament MWABASHIKE NKULUKUSA says alternative land has been identified where traders will be relocated to.

Mr. NKULUKUSA says authorities are now finalizing plans on how to utilize the land.
