FAZ Women’s League: Nkwazi coach optimistic of finishing in top five

Nkwazi Queens Head Coach Joseph ‘Mila’ Zimba has said that his side will work very hard in the remaining matches as they still plan on finishing in the top 5 in the 2019 Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Women’s League Lusaka Region.

Speaking in an Interview with the ZamFoot Crew, Zimba challenged his lads against complacency when they score and he hopes to work on the player’s mentality going forward.

“When we score a goal, my players relax so they just have to fight until the last whistle. If we score it doesn’t mean that we have already won the match we have to keep fighting so we will work on their mentality to keep pushing until the end,” said a Soft-Spoken Zimba.

Nkwazi were held to a 1 – 1 draw by Green Eagles in midweek despite missing the services of some of their key players through injury and National duty, the team played well and Zimba was okay with a draw.

“The game was okay with us we did not expect this result, a draw was a fair result because we missed some key players whom we rely on through injury and others are on national duty.”

Zimba is not very much worried about the absence of other key players and he will make sure to work with the available tools he has at the moment by polishing up all the upcoming players.

“We had a lot of Injuries which disturbed our game plan and we were forced to make substitutions. We had to change our defense by using girls from our academy. We Could have done so well with our key players especially our Influential Captain Lushoomo Mweemba who is with the National Team otherwise am okay with the teams’ performance,” Zimba told the ZamFoot Crew.

Nkwazi Won’t be in Action this Weekend and will only have an away date in a Week 24 assignment away to Kafue Cranes on 3rd August 2019 if the date will not be changed as the Chipolopolo will on the same day be taking On the Zebras of Botswana in the CHAN Qualifier Return Match.
