FAZ suffers a setback as AGM fail to take off

The Football Association of Zambia, FAZ Annual General Meeting, AGM has failed to take in Lusaka after FAZ lost the case to have an injunction lifted.

There was anxiety at Government Complex were FAZ councilors waited since morning for a verdict from Lusaka High Court.

When news broke out that FAZ’s application to have an injunction to stay the AGM thrown out by the Lusaka High Court, councillors dispersed from Government Complex.

The two parties are set to return to court on Thursday.

Despite World governing body, FIFA giving FAZ the go ahead with the AGM, the meeting could not take place following verdict from the High Court.

There are concerns from the general public that there could be a looming FIFA ban.
